605 Corridor

THE I-605 CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

The San Gabriel River Freeway, Interstate 605 (I-605), between Interstate 10 (I-10) and Interstate 105 (I-105), is one of the busiest and most congested highways in the greater Los Angeles area. Projected growth in the region's population and goods movement are expected to further deteriorate the traffic capacity and operations of I-605.

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) and California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), District 7, in collaboration with the Gateway Cities Council of Governments (GCCOG) and the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments (SGVCOG), are proposing improvements to approximately 16 miles of highway located along I-605, from approximately I-10 to I-105. The I-605 Corridor Improvement Project also includes interchange related improvements along State Route 60 (SR-60), Interstate 5 (I-5), Interstate 10 (I-10), and Interstate 105 (I-105).

After scoping meetings in Fall 2016, Metro and Caltrans District 7 are ready to share some updates on the project. Please join us at an upcoming community meeting to learn more about the project, meet the project team, and let us know what is important to you as we evaluate options.
