Free Veteran Pet AdoptionThe City of Norwalk is honored to be home to over 3,400 veterans. In appreciation for the service of these brave men and women, we announce the "Pets for Troops" adoption program for veterans and active duty service persons living in Norwalk.  Pet adoptions coordinated through SEAACA are completely free of charge for any resident who has served or is currently serving in the US Armed Forces.  Adopted pets (with some exceptions) come spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, and with the first set of vaccinations applied. A complimentary six week obedience course will be provided to facilitate relationship growth.

Pets provide companionship and may lower blood pressure and raise physical and mental well-being through enjoyment of the outdoors, socializing and natural bonding between animal and human.

Pets selected are not limited to dogs or cats and may include birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles or other animals available through SEAACA.  For more information, please call SEAACA offices at (562) 803-3301 or visit http://seaaca.org/adoptions/adoption-process.
