Permit Application Process

Permit applications can be submitted via email at engrpermits@norwalkca.gov.

Fillable permit forms can be downloaded below.

• Encroachment/Excavation Permit

  • Use this application for any work involving excavation or concrete improvements in the public right-of-way.

  • Use this application for work involving lane closures or encroachment without excavation.

• Bin Permit

  • Use this application for permission to place trash bin or storage pod on the street for up to two weeks.

• Oversize Transportation Permit

  • Use this application for oversize transportation.

Our Engineering division will review your application and contact you if we have any questions, or need additional information.

Notify Engineering division at (562) 929-5723 at least 24 hours before starting the work.
