Coyote Encounter Map

The purpose of monitoring human-coyote interactions is to document where coyotes are frequently seen and to identify hotspots. All coyote encounters reported to Norwalk Public Safety Dispatch and via the online reporting form, will be documented below. Use this map to explore the number coyote encounters reported in the City of Norwalk.

If you see an aggressive coyote (i.e. ears go back, fur comes up on its back, it snarls, growls, shows teeth, and charges a person) or there is an actual attack on a human, call 9-1-1 immediately. 

Please note that it may take up to 1-2 weeks for your coyote report to appear on the map.
