Utility User Tax

The City of Norwalk collects Utility User Tax (UUT) on electric, gas and telecommunication services at a rate of 5.5%.

A completed UUT Remittance Form and payments of UUT, must be received no later than the 30^th day following the reporting period. 

Senior citizens, 65 years or older, or citizens who meet the criteria of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) for the blind and disabled are eligible to receive an exemption from the UUT.
