Traffic Awareness Art Contest 2022

Calling all Norwalk youth! Public Safety is launching its Traffic Awareness Campaign in the month of May. As part of the campaign, all Norwalk youth are eligible to enter the 2022 Traffic Awareness Art Contest!  This contest will highlight local youth’s artistic skills as they display why it is important to drive safely and always abide by traffic laws.  It is simple and easy to enter!  All you need is a blank 8 ½” by 11” plain piece of paper and your creativity!

Announcement of winning entries will take place on the City’s social media platforms on May 12, 2022.  Winners will be selected by age category (elementary, middle, and high school).

Winners will receive a prize and be recognized on the City’s social media and at the May 17, 2022, City Council meeting.

All submissions will be kept by the City for display at City Hall.

If a participant wishes to have his/her entry returned, please contact the Public Safety Department at (562) 929-5732.

Holiday Festival and Tree Lighting Ceremony

The annual Holiday Festival event will occur on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 6-9 p.m. at the Norwalk Civic Center Lawn. The Tree Lighting Ceremony will begin at 7 p.m.

 Hosted by the Recreation and Park Services Department, this free community event includes live entertainment, food trucks, snowslides, and much more! This community event is open to all ages and free to attend!

  • Guest Appearance by Santa Claus

Stuff-A-Bus

Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the Holiday Festival and help the Transportation Department "Stuff-A-Bus"! All collected toys will be donated to the City of Norwalk Angel Tree Program.
